Buying Used Equipment
In today's economic climate it is understandable that everyone is looking for a bargain and a used Tab Wizard can be a great bargain if the purchaser does a little research.
If you are considering buying a Tab Wizard system from a friend, at an auction or from a leasing company you should read below.
What to know before buying a used Tab Wizard
- Tab Wizard Inc. from time to time does sell used systems that have been refurbed and updated with the latest software(and include a full year warranty).
- Tab Wizard will give you the history of any system you may be looking at in the open market. The history will include age of the system, any known liens on the equipment, last software upgrade and history of repairs.
- There generally will be costs associated with getting a used system up and running. Most of the costs are optional, but there is one mandatory charge. That is a $500 fee to transfer title of the software to a new business location. Tab Wizard's End User License Agreement states that the software is licensed to a particular business establishment. What that means is that no matter how many owners a bar may go through the software stays with the new owners without additional charges. Howerer, once the equipment leaves the original business location the transfer fee applies. (No support is provided for systems transferred without payment of this fee)

Maintenance plans. (Only offered on newer equipment) Older equipment will be serviced based on current support pricing.
