Temporary Product Price Reduction:

Tab Wizard has always allowed the increase of prices per department to allow for price increase however, as of 2021, April 24, Tab Wizard now adds a feature to decrease department pricing allowing the user to lower prices during a special event, etc.  The reduction comes with risks to be aware of and how to overcome them.

Q: Why would prices decrease rather than increase?

A:  Many bars and clubs may want to run a special price reduction for a special event or time period that the Happy Hour feature simply does not do and raise them up again once the event is over.

If a user decides to lower the department cost of Beer across the board at -$1.00, it will also decrease the price of Happy Hour (-$1.00) pricing as well.

Example:

If a Beer regularly cost $4.50 (Regular) and $4.00 (Happy Hour), the price reduction would go down to $3.00 (Regular) and $2.00 (Happy Hour).  This may not be a desired effective discount.  It is never good practice to allow two discounts together.
